When it comes to skincare, we've all heard of Olay. In my opinion, they have a pretty good reputation: quality products without breaking the bank. Most commercials I see for Olay have something to do with anti-aging (correct those dark circles, smooth out those wrinkles, etc.). But I'm not quite at the age when I need to use those products, so I never really looked into Olay as I thought it wouldn't suit my skin's needs at this time. Well if you've been thinking like me, I hope this article changes your mind or at least gets you thinking about giving Olay a try, because I have now tried a few Olay products and love them! I've seen a change in my skin consistently while using these products.

Olay Regenerist Luminous: Tone Perfecting Cream

Olay Tone Perfecting Moisturizer 2Target Concern: fades the look of discoloration/dark spots (reduces appearance over time)

Benefits: Brightens, exfoliates, smoothes. Regenerates skin's appearance for healthy-looking, youthful luminosity.

I do not have dark spots, nor am I looking for more youthful skin necessarily, but I do need something to even out my skintone and to help brighten up my skin's appearance. And this cream is a great fit for my skin! Immediately after the first use I noticed my skin looked brighter, felt smooth & hydrated. When I continued to use the cream, my skin's complexion continued to get better; brightening up every day and  felt so smooth even when I washed my face at the end of the day. Another aspect that I really found to be great about this cream is the exfoliating benefits. At first I didn't really know what to expect from an exfoliating cream, but after I applied the cream, and let it dry, I then went to apply either an eye cream or my primer - in some places I noticed a clumping of product that gathered when I rubbed my skin - almost like a gommage - and that's when I really noticed the exfoliating benefits. This did not bother me as I simply took a dry towel and lightly wiped the areas where there was the gathered product/dead skin. This happened less and less after I continued to use the cream, so I really think it was renewing and exfoliating my skin until it was beautifully smooth! As a side note, this cream is quite scented when you use it, but when it dries it is not noticeable. Also this cream absorbed really well, and even though it is thick and creamy, it was in no way greasy!

Olay Regenerist Luminous: Dark Circle Correcting Hydraswirl

Olay Eye Dark Circle Correcting HydraswirlTarget concern: under eye darkness/dark circles

Benefits: Instantly brightens under eye area. Hydrates for firmer, younger looking skin.

I used this eye treatment in combination with the Tone Perfecting Cream, and I felt so much better about waking up in the morning and going to work with a brighter complexion! My undereyes always tend to look tired. My dark circles aren't that bad, but to me they are noticeable. I don't like to apply concealer to my under eyes because I feel that it looks unnatural on me, so I instead focus on brightening my eyes with mascara/eyeliner to distract from my under eyes. But with this eye treatment, I don't need to be so worried about my under eye appearance. Not only does it nourish  my undereye skin, but it also has this luminous glow, like a soft highlighter (but more natural looking) which instantly brightens up your undereye area. This eye cream will instantly help you look rested and refreshed! When applying the eye cream, you massage under eye, on your eyelids and around crows feet for firmer, younger looking skin.

Those two Olay Regenerist Luminous products have made a great improvement for my skin. But if you're looking for a more hydrating product rather than brightening/anti-aging, Olay still has you covered with their Fresh Effects products!

Olay Fresh Effects: Dew Over - Hydrating Gel Moisturizer

Olay Dew Over Hydrating Gel MoisturizerThis is a lightweight moisturizing gel that provides the perfect amount of hydration. My skin felt refreshed and silky smooth immediately after using this moisturizer. This moisturizer will hydrate for 24 for hours so you have a well-rested look all day. This oil-free breathable moisturizer absorbs quickly so you can apply your primer/makeup soon after. Another great aspect about this moisturizer: it is formulated with a powder that makes your skin look less oily. So if you have oily skin, this would be a good one to try! I don't have oily skin and I still felt that this was a very good hydrating product that continually leaves my skin soft & smooth.

Olay Fresh Effects: Bright On Schedule - Eye Awakening Cream

Olay Bright On Schedule Eye Awakening CreamThis eye cream is applied with a tri-roller ball that cools your skin as you apply. The cream hydrated while reducing the look of puffiness & dark circles. If you're not concerned about firming or wrinkles, but are looking for an eye cream to refresh and brighten your under eyes, this is a great one to try! I liked the tri-roller ball as it felt nicer on my skin than a larger roller ball. This is also a fast absorbing cream that you will want to apply after your moisturizer and before your makeup.

If you're not really sure which products to use/when to apply them, Olay.com offers you a Recommended Regimen on their website. You can choose a product from the Olay skincare lines and then see where that product falls into place in the recommended regimen. This is a great tool if you're unsure how to put together your personal skincare regimen - and a skincare regimen is very important for healthy/beautiful skin!

Overall, I was very happy with the Olay products that I tried. I felt that they targeted each concern that they claimed to, and my skin reacted beautifully to each product - whether it was a dewy hydration or brightening complexion, these products treated my skin right!
