Every time you look at a photo, the first thing you notice is the persons smile. Good or bad. Is there something in their teeth? Are they looking white or yellow? Is my lipstick still looking fresh? If you are the blushing bride, you are guaranteed to be in almost every single photo taken of your big day, and we want you looking perfect. Wedding photographers are constantly snapping candid moments of this joyous day, with that in mind, we at Certified Fabulous have compiled a few different products that will get you the bright and beautiful smile that will shine through these photos for years to come. Thankfully, wedding invitations are sent out far enough in advance that whether you are part of the wedding party or you are a wedding guest, you have plenty of time to perfect your photogenic smile.

The first step to take is get rid of any stains on those maybe not so pearly whites of yours. There are some great at home teeth whitening kits out there, but the Smile Illuminator Instant Whitening Kit is a nice kit that is easily added to your daily routine. This is a great option if you either cannot afford to get your teeth professionally whitened, or if you simply do not have the time to get to the dentist. The kit is made up of three steps: Polish, Boost, and Revamp. To polish your teeth, use the electrifying blue tooth paste which gently cleanses your teeth and has a refreshingly light minty flavor. Next, boost your smile with the whitening brisk rinse. Both the tooth paste and the rinse use something call Blueverite Technology, which is supposed to whiten your teeth after just one use. The touch up revamp whitening serum can be used separately throughout the day to help dissolve and prevent stains; can be used as needed anywhere you go, just brush over each tooth that you would like to whiten, let dry, and continue your day. This product is completely safe and even when used frequently, did not cause any tooth sensitivity. The full kit can be bought online or at Walgreens or Bed Bath and Beyond for $17.99.

poutomaticBefore adding any lip color, I always have to scrub off any dead skin from my lips that may keep my color from applying smoothly. The Pout-O-Matic lip scrubbing system is a very convenient and soothing way to do so. The Bliss Fabulips Pout-O-Matic tool looks like an electric toothbrush and comes with two rubber heads to interchange to make easy clean up. All you do is turn the power on and let the tool scrub away dry and chapped skin off your lips. It is actually very soothing, and leaves your lips looking very healthy and plumped. By scrubbing your lips prior to applying color, your lips are primed and hold the color much longer and have a nice smooth look during the entire day. This kit comes with its own soft scrub to use, which conditions and gently exfoliates away any rough or dead skin. This is the perfect preparation to make your lips perfectly pouty and pillow soft for your first married couple kiss. The pout-o-matic is available at Ulta for $48.

Whether or not you decide you’ll be determining your bridesmaids’ hairstyles is a pretty personal decision. After all, you’ll have to weigh the many pros and cons: On the one hand, you’ll get exactly what you want but on the other hand, you may end up upsetting a friend who has something else in mind. It’s definitely a delicate subject and one you should handle carefully. But, if yourbridesmaids are open to a little input, we have a few ideas on navigating this tricky territory.

1. Consider Your Friends’ Styles

The first thing you should take into account is each of your friends’ personalities and their current hairstyles. A bridesmaid with long locks, for example, will probably be more open to a half up, half down hairdo than one with very short hair to play with. If she’s open to suggestions, give her a few ideas on hairstyles that you think suit her personal style and personality. You wouldn’t want to put your most laid back friend in a stuffy French twist she’ll be uncomfortable in all night.

Nobody likes bad hair. And one day you really can’t afford a bad hair day is on your wedding day. So how can you ensure your hair is just as perfect and beautiful as you want your wedding day to be? With these tips, of course! Keep these 10 bridal hair dos and don’ts in mind for wedding hair day perfection.

1. DO always book a trial appointment

Whether you’ve known your hairstylist for years or are booking with someone who came highly recommended, you should absolutely book a
wedding hair trial. This is especially important if you’re trying out a new bridal hairstyle since something may look great in a magazine, but might look different on you! “You may need more than one trial and that is totally normal,”says Vanessa Fernandez, Butterfly Studio Salon Expert Stylist. Most stylists will offer a wedding hair trial discount if you book both a trial run and day-of hairstyle. And if you’re having a destination wedding, consider flying in a few months or days before the wedding so you can be absolutely sure this is the hairstylist for you.

June 15th, 2013. My wedding day. I didn't grow up wishing to be a fairy princess and I definitely didn't grow up fantasizing about my wedding. The first time I put actual thought into my wedding was last year when my long-time boyfriend proposed to me on a road trip. We were in the mountains of Maryland and we watched the sunset together with our very unimpressed corgi, Ion.

Then we got in the car and continued to drive the remaining 8 hours home. (Hey, we had our hour of romantic tears, but we were on a schedule, don't judge!). Calling family and friends was one of the best parts of being newly engaged, but it got me thinking. Wait, how does one even plan a wedding? But now, with the help of my amazing sister/Matron of Honor/wedding planning guide, I'm ready for my big day in a few weeks!

In the beginning, my wedding was nothing but stressful. Honestly, I hated wedding planning to the point of tears. After a few weeks of this, my fiancé finally sat me down and made me stop. He made me vow that'd I do the wedding to please only us, and since then it's been pretty fun. And geeky. Our wedding Save the Dates featured us in our pajamas, our invitations made references to Star Wars, Doctor Who, AND Star Trek (we're getting married at a place called the Frontier. We had to include a reference to the "Final Frontier"!), and yes, converse will be making an appearance.

With my sonic screwdriver in hand, I was ready for June 15th weeks ago. But when it came to my wedding beauty, I was still a bit lost, so I researched and prepped and spent way too long walking up and down aisles and aisles of beauty products to bring you my list of the Pre-wedding beauty must haves!

Skin: 06012013 Wedding Prep Article Jergens Natural Glow Certified FabulousJergens Natural Glow Body Lotion. I am a very fair person, and with summer here I've been working on my tan to look my best for the big day. However, I started to fear about farmers tan and unevenness (I run and walk outside a lot in tank tops, t-shirts, 3/4 length shirts, sweaters, etc. and it always leaves me looking multi-colored by fall). Thank goodness for Jergens Natural Glow Body Lotion! I started using is a month or so ago and love it! You apply it once a day and unlike other self-tanners, this one is super gradual, giving you complete control over your tan! I have an large dark coloring on one of my arms that I just didn't put the lotion on, and it helped blend it in to the rest of my arm! I messed up on one leg, leaving half darker than the other. The next day I only applied lotion to the lighter half and voila! Problem solved. No more tanlines, no more imperfections, just a nice, even, natural looking glow (and everyone thinks it's just the joy!)
