We have busy schedules, appointments, meetings, errands, work, time with friends, visiting with family, concerts, parties, BBQ's, walking the dog, running around and just living LIFE! The last thing I wan to do is worry about being comfortable while I go crazy trying to accomplish all I have to, and want to do. I am not a big shoe person, I honestly would be happy with a pair of flip-flops, motorcycle boots and sneakers as my whole collection but since I care so much about fashion and makeup shoes kind of make the whole look finished, just as much as accessories do. On that note when I have to wear heels or any uncomfortable dress shoes or even if I want to look fashionable and styled but without the hassle, I turn to my Ballasox!

Ballasox is unlike any other ballet flat, the Ballasox comes with a novelty: a soft lining in spandex, as if it were a sock that provides comfort for your feet. Foldable, each pair of shoe comes in an exclusive accessory package, making it a perfect item for traveling, use during the day, for a quick exchange of high-heeled shoe to a more comfortable one, to drive or even for a casual stroll through the city. They are confidence and support in one little fashionable flat!

I love how it comes with a little carrying bag to keep the Ballasox together and easy to bring along anywhere! Most purses now-a-days can fit them and it's great to take on the plane or throw in the car for foot emergencies! The varieties are endless and they are perfect for any style your into, to fit with your lifestyle and fahsion, what more can you ask for?!

In this fast paced dance of life, wouldn't you want to float along like a ballarina? Ballasox is more than fashion. It’s a second skin.

Get the Look

I love accessories! They are perfect for livening up a basic outfit or dressing up a night look. They add flare and personality to your look and speak about who you are as a person to the public that comes in contact with you throughout your day.

One accessory I hate to be without is a watch. I have always worn a watch up until the point it breaks or the battery dies...then I just never bother to get the battery changed...silly I know. My new obsession in watch fashion has been the big face, solid color options I see that became a big hit in the summer and I was ecstatic to write about my new discovery of lolly watches

lolly coconut

There is "a scents of good" with every lolly watch and in the lolly juice collection. I was mesmerized by the color options and when I received my choice in the mail, the white color called Coconut Sentanite, I was hypnotized by the incredible scent that came with it!!! When we first opened up the package in the Certified F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. offices I kept thinking "It smells tropical in here...what the heck smells SO good?" Until I was studying the lolly watch and saw that it is made with a hint of scent! INCREDIBLE!

I have worn this watch for about a month now and I faithfully put it on everyday and inhale the coconut scent (yes it's still there!) to give me a relaxed feeling throughout my day. I proudly make it a point to show everyone I know the watch and make them smell it much to everyone's amazement :) It's like a cool magic trick that entices everyone, hehe.

Black and White Fall 2013 Final

I own a lot of black. So when Black & White came out as a trend this fall, I knew my wardrobe would easily suit this trend. What's great about the Black & White trend, is that you can buy staple pieces for your wardrobe that you can incorporate into many other trends to come. Invest in some solid pieces this season and you'll be using them for years. But since it's all about Black & White there are also some awesome pattern pieces out there than will catch your eye - like the H&M Skirt above! Combine the skirt with black tights and the clean & simple Aldo Butimba heel - this monochromatic combination will elongate your legs and help you look taller!

I usually like to throw in a pop of color with my accessories, but if you want to go all out black and white, there are some great options such as white watches, and a must-have basic black clutch! I love how these sharp, defined BCBG earrings will stand out against the simple black LOFT top & tie in well with the angles in the skirt. What I also loved about all these items above, is that you can incorporate them into so many other outfits and wear them in numerous ways!

There are so many ways to wear the Black & White Trend! Layer and play around with it this fall for great style!

Hair stitching works best on hair with a bit of texture, Graziella recommends washing hair the day before your styling, or if you’re working with squeaky clean strands, she uses a dry shampoo such as Kerastase K Line Powder Bluff to add “next day hair” texture before styling. It keeps hair looking freshly washed and leaves no powder residue!

STEP-BY-STEP

1) Apply a heat protectant such as Kerastase’ Fibre Architect with fingers before and after curling hair for extra shine and protection.

2) Next, curl hair in medium sized sections using a 1 to 1 ½ inch curlingCurl the entire head - Graziella advises working to achieve “natural, not structured curls” by gently pulling and loosening cooled curls.

pic 13) For added volume and hold, add a light spritz of Kerastase Laque Couture, lifting up curls to get product near the roots as well.

COVERGIRL is the makeup line I have relied on since I first started wearing makeup, so we are talking about MANY years! They always have the styles and colors I like and the products are easy to use and help me look flawless. I have never bought a products from COVERGIRL that I didn't like! Now THAT is a huge deal!

I was beyond thrilled when we were sent a kit of all the brand new summer trends from COVERGIRL to include celebrity makeup artist Amy Nadine's expert tips on how to use them!

The hard part about receiving this kit was that Linnea and I had to divide it up to both be able to write reviews. After much debates we had our products and were ready to try them out! I was happy to have the COVERGIRL Clean Whipped Creme Foundation (color #310 - Classic Ivory), Clean Glow Blusher (roses palette - for cool undertones), Flamed Out Shadow Pencil (melted caramel color) and the Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm (2 Cute & Luv U).

COVERGIRL clean whipped cream foundation makeup beauty flawless coverage light

My first time I tried the Clean Whipped Creme Foundation I was on set filming for a 48 Hour Film Festival project (our film is called Power Prison). Being an actress I have to make sure my skin looks good and that my makeup is flawless and natural on so it doesn't pick up on camera, especially during close-ups! Any minor imperfection blows up to a major one on the big screen! When I opened the jar of the foundation and put my finger on the product I immediately was impressed by the feel and consistency, it was like a soft, whipped gel! Applying on my face (using my fingers, which I have always felt worked the best) it smoothed and blended in perfectly right away! It instantly covered my uneven skin tone, pores and flaws...I was shocked it worked on the first sweep! No additional layers to add, it was perfectly covered with one! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I felt so comfortable and confident not having to worry about my skin or how my makeup looked...which is such a relief! This could potentially (and easily) be my new fave foundation!

The ruby, birthstone for July, is among the most highly prized of gemstones.  The red gemstone corundum is called Ruby. All other gemstone corundum colors – orange, yellow, brown, green, blue, purple, violet, black, and colorless – are called Sapphires.  In the Middle Ages, Rubies were thought to bring good health, as well as guard against wicked thoughts, amorous desires, and disputes. Rubies, along with other types of red stones, were said to cure bleeding. And it was believed that the Ruby held the power to warn its owner of coming misfortunes, illness, or death, by turning darker in color. It is said that Catherine of Aragon, first wife of King Henry VIII, predicted her downfall in seeing the darkening of her Ruby.  It is also associated with the values of love, success, integrity, passion, and promise.  The 1870 birthstone poem says “The gleaming Ruby should adorn/All those who in July are born/For thus they'll be exempt and free/From lover's doubts and anxiety.”

The most prized color is a medium or medium dark vivid red or slightly purplish red.  The usual term is “pigeon’s blood” red.  But they go from cheerful pinks to dark brownish reds too.  The lab created Rubies are flawless and inexpensive, a good choice for many of us.  Ancient Egyptian legends say the "Lord of the Gems" Ruby was once meant only for kings but brings happiness and luck to a woman once it touches her skin. The bravest Burmese warriors also went into battle with a Ruby under their skin so the precious gem could emanate its magic properties. For this reason, jewelry designer Roberto Coin hides a Ruby in all his pieces so that it touches the skin.  Cool, huh?

Traditionally India is considered the source of rubies. However, a new field of rubies has developed in Greenland. The rubies lie so thick on the ground that workers trample them. This deposit is so rich it could change the global market for this precious gemstone. In just 48 tons of ore, 65,000 grams of precious gem-quality rubies were found. Some gems were single stones of more than 400 carats.  Whoa!  I’ll take one, to go, please!  Rubies can be worn with just about everything and they scream “class”.  I rather like the idea that it has to touch your skin and picked that ring in the picture for myself.  Notice the open design—click it and it’ll take you there.  Rubies are powerful!  Wear them boldly, when you need that lift, you’ve come to play, laid your bets and it’s time to rock-n-roll.

Fun Factoids:  Rubies have a famous place in science - the first lasers were made from artificial ruby crystals.  They still are used for this purpose although other materials offer improved efficiency.  Some natural ruby crystals show the fluorescence (actually very short term phosphorescence) that makes a laser possible.   The ancient name for Ruby is "sardius".

Aztec patterns are in, and they’re just as likely to be seen on a manicure as they are on a bodycon mini skirt. If you’re not familiar with the Aztec finish, think straight lines and intricate geometric shapes that form an intense and colourful pattern on your nails.

Animal Print

Show your wild side with animal print nails; zebra stripe, leopard skin, giraffe and cow print are just a few examples! You don’t need to stick to realistic colours either, try neon yellow and black leopard spot or pink and purple zebra stripe look.
