With Coachella approaching this weekend, you may be thinking of your upcoming music festival styles this Spring. Music festivals tend to bring out a certain style, but since you'll be out in the sun, listening to good music and hanging out most of the day, your outfit best be somewhat funky, functional, and comfortable. I've put together a couple of outfits that I might wear if I was headed to a fabulous music festival...sighh...I can dream right?
For this first festival outfit, I went a little delicate/pretty you could say. I started with is lacey/flowy crop top and paired it with a more structured denim skirt. This is a great base to start with - you'll be cool (temperature and style wise) and the lacey crop top is all for summer/music festivals. Once you have your main outfit put together, add whatever accessories you're in the mood for. For a festival, I prefer light necklaces and some studs (statment jewelry could start to feel a bit heavy by the end of the day). Add a great hat and awesome shades to keep that sun out of your face. Of course you'll want a stylish bag to carry your essentials and a light layer, like this cardigan, in case it cools down (can also double as a small blanket/place to sit if need be).
For this second outfit, I couldn't resist the flower headband. You may be all about the flower headband, but I think a festival is the only place I would feel truly comfortable wearing one - unless it's the Swedish midsummer, than I'm all about the flower headband. But anyways, for this flower headband style, I again have a pretty simple outfit. High waisted denim shorts are a good go to for festivals, and a light/loose cami makes a great combo. Add some gladiator sandals, some shades, another light cardigan, and you are good to go! I like this outfit because it's not over the top flower power, but still a great way to incorporate some flower style into your festival outfit.
