bioelements Body cleanserBiolelements Vitalization Rich Intensity Body Cleanser
is formulated with pure essential oils and extracts, known for their ability to smooth and moisturize skin. This body cleanser is beautifully packaged in a  convenient to use flip-top tube which is delightfully housed in a gorgeous outer box. Our first impression of this product was that it was thoughtfully packaged to create a high-end user experience. The simplicity of the packaging’s design appeals to the prestige market consumer. The product retails for $38.00 for 8fl oz.

Biolelements Vitalization Rich Intensity Body Cleanser is a beautiful, creamy cleanser which foams nicely on a body pouf, wash cloth or when applied by hand (we tried this body cleanser each way for this review). Our team described the texture and foaming action of this formula as the following: “silky-soft, creamy lather”, silky and creamy texture, feels very nice and soothing”, “a small amount was all that was needed to create a thick and rich lather”. We all agree that this body cleanser was “non-drying”, and left skin feeling “silky smooth”, “fresh”, “clean” and “moisturized”. The fragrance of this amazing body cleanser was described as “mild”, “natural”, “soothing and calming fragrance” and “wonderful-not too strong”. Our overall experience was extremely positive, our team unanimously agreed we would highly recommend this product to our viewers, and although it is of a Prestige price point for a body cleanser ($20+), we would all invest in this product because of the quality of the experience when using.
Bioelements Extremely emollient

Bioelements Extremely Emollient Daily Body Moisturizer is an amazing, anti-oxidant rich body moisturizer with excellent emollient properties. Emollients are moisturizers that help keep the skin moist and supple by providing a protective film on the skin. Moisturizers with emollient properties help dry skin by reducing water loss from the epidermis-the outer layer of skin.

Yes, Lisa Hoffman is the wife of the amazing actor Dustin Hoffman. Stay with me, here is my Dustin story: I met him several years ago at a school meeting, his movie Tootsie had just come… we were both in the back of the auditorium…

OMG I turned to my left & there he was wearing a baseball hat, I looked and smiled he put his finger to his lips to quiet my excitement… he smiled back; he was absolutely charming and very interested in the school his children would be attending.

When the seminar was finished he left quickly smiled and tipped his hat to me!!! Awesome I felt so special!!! And I am a big Fan… huge!!!

Myo Essentials & Myotone Facial Toning System

They have some very nice products. I was able to try their cleanser Borage Leaf Foaming Cleanser, Ginseng Mineral Toner, and Luminous Peptide Serum, Refreshing Anti Puff Eye Gel, Restorative Marine Moisturizer, Advanced Protection SPF 30.

Myo Essentials Skincare Line 9.26.13 Certified Fabulous

I’ll begin with my findings on the:

Restorative Marine Moisturizer

The scent had a wonderful delicate aroma, fresh citrus marine scent almost like an ocean breeze.

My skin is normally very dry, this cream gave me the perfect amount of hydration. It went on smoothly, I used day & night. It has a combination of red algae & soybean oil, my skin-looked great it felt softer, plumper and smoother after just a few days.

Advanced Protection SPF 30

This was a wonderful lightweight sunscreen blended perfectly with the Marine Moisturizer. I would recommend this for all skin types. Full spectrum UVA UVB

 Borage Leaf Foaming Cleanser

This was a very nice foaming cleanser. It gently removed my make up and SPF without drying out my skin. This cleanser has a blend of soothing ingredients borage, aloe, willow bark all of these combined gave it a wonderful pleasant scent.

I love bees. These amazing honey makers are hardworking creatures who live in cooperative communities where the Queen rules all.  Bees provide us with what is one of the most amazing natural ingredient; honey.  Honey is one of the world’s oldest moisturizers.  Cleopatra was known to bathe her skin with milk and honey. Honey has been used in holistic skin care practices for hundreds of years for the treatment of acne, eczema and psoriasis.  Honey is the key ingredient in the amazing Beelove products I have been enjoying this week.
Beeline spa collection

Honey has amazing moisturizing as well antiseptic properties, making it a really great ingredient in skin care. Honeys humectant properties help attract water to the skin, moisturizing the skins to prevent against wrinkles and dryness. The more moisture our skin holds the younger its appearance.  Honeys antiseptic properties are just as amazing. Honey contains the enzyme glucose oxidase, which, when combined with water becomes hydrogen peroxide.  These antiseptic qualities help rid the skin of bacteria, helping to create a clear complexion.

Honey is the key ingredient in Sweet Beginnings Beelove skincare products.  My 3 favorites are the Body Wash, Lotion and Sugar Scrub.  All three have very clean ingredient lists, containing not only honey, but wonderful ingredients such as avocado oil, shea butter, grape-seed oil and silk protein.  The signature beeline essential oils lend a mellow,  baby powder-like fragrance.  The shower gel looks like honey, and works into a nice lather.  I liked this body wash because my skin didn't feel dry and tight after my shower (and I like long, hot showers).  The lotion applies easily, and absorbs nicely into the skin.  My absolute favorite product however, is the Sugar Scrub.  The scrub is different from others I have used.  The sugar particles are really big, not like the usual fine texture I am used to.  This made handling the product easier in that it doesn't just melt away in a hot shower. My skin felt refreshed, exfoliated and soft after using this wonderful sugar scrub.

Beelove is also amazing because of the good karma story behind its beginning.  Founder and CEO Brenda Palms Barber saw the problems that evolve from the high unemployment rates in the city of Chicago.  She recognized the difficulties faced by those being released from prison in their desire to find employment opportunities.  Lack of education and criminal background are huge barriers faced by this milieu. Barber’s solution was to start an aviary in a small vacant urban lot in the city of Chicago.  She has been able to create full time employment through the tending of bees and the harvest of raw honey.  By teaching ex-offenders the art of beekeeping, she has provided an opportunity for these people to learn a trade, helping to decrease the likelihood repeat incarceration (the recidivism rate of these worker is a mere 4%, compared to the nation average of 65%).   Barbers vision is proving to be a success, as the company is growing, with 4 aviarys in the city of Chicago, as well as hundreds of employment opportunities for those facing employment barriers.

The story behind the Beelove products is almost as good as the quality of the products themselves.

Gotta love it!!
Stacey

Hi Everyone and welcome to 2013... Can you believe it!  So I guess the Mayans were wrong and we still have a few years left here on Earth huh?  Well what's a beauty rock star to do?  Hit the spa of course!  This week we've all been talking about salon treatments.. what works and what doesn't work.  Is it worth the money to go or can I just do the same at home.  For many things, yes you can, but sometimes someone else rubbing your tired, overworked puppies is well worth it!  In my years I have been lucky enough to experience the good, the bad and the down right nasty of spa life.  So I thought I would share a couple pointers I've learned.

1)  What experience are you looking to have at the spa?  Are you looking for just a quick waxing or are you looking for a relaxing, aromatherapy experience?  Set your expectations before you walk in the door.  Even if you're just going in for a quick wax, but still want a relaxing day, choose accordingly.

2)  Do your research on the spa.  Many people take the time to write up reviews on their experience on the spa and sometimes if you're lucky they'll write about the therapist they used.  It's amazing what you can find out about places with a little google search.

3) When choosing a treatment, do your research before your appointment. Each spa perform treatments differently.  I would recommend calling ahead and asking, what products they use, how they use them, are there any side effects you should be concerned about?  Once you're there and in the chair, feel free to ask questions to the therapist about the procedure.  This is your body remember!!  They are there for your enjoyment, not the other way around.  If something doesn't feel right or hurts, let them know.

4) Most spas will give you a walk through for first timers and show you around and introduce you to the facility.  If they don't, ask for one.  Remember you're a paying customer and if you don't feel comfortable or it's dirty, you can always walk out.  Follow your gut instinct and don't feel guilty.
