Hey Fabulous readers!  Well here we are again on Friday.  If you have been following all of us this week, we've been talking about the products from Lolade Cosmetics. Lolade Cosmetics creates products with the highest quality in mind.  They too believe that beauty comes from within and their products only enhance your natural beauty.

I had the pleasure of trying their Pro Finish HD Foundation, the Cream Foundation and one of their eye shadows in Jetliner.  The Pro Finish HD Foundation comes in an airless bottle.  I love liquid foundations in airless bottles.  They are so easy to use and dispense just the perfect amount.  You can apply to a sponge and don't have to worry about the product getting all over your fingers and under your nails.  Now for those that aren't familiar with how an airless package works... here's Airless 101.  Basically inside the bottle portion of the package, there is a little piston(think hockey puck) and as your "prime" or pump actuator it creates a vacuum affect and sucks up the piston pushing the product out.  Many times airless packages are used for products that are sensitive to oxygen and if exposed to it will change and possibly spoil.  Ew!

Lolade's choice of compacts for their Cream Foundation is your standard dual chambor compact with room underneath the cream for an applicator sponge.  I do love the large mirror on the lid.  So many times the mirror just isn't big enough for us girls on the go.

I saved my favorite for last.  I know it's not that big of a deal, but I love their eye shadow packaging.  Since we are friends, I can share with you... I'm not the most delicate flower in the field.  In fact, I'm more like a bull in a china shop.  I always say, if John Wayne didn't build it or bless it, it shouldn't be in my house.  This also goes along with my make-up.  ( I know that's a weird visual right? John Wayne makeup- LOL )  But I am constantly dropping, spilling, cracking my make up cases and even the powders themselves.  Let me tell you after the abuse that I give those little pots, eventually the butterfly hinge gives out.  But Lolade's eye shadow's have a screw on lid... personally I love this.  I don't have to worry about breaking the hinge off and snapping off the lid.

Have a great week and stay tooned until next  Friday!

LoLade Cosmetics is a diamond in the rough and I am so thrilled to have found out about this brand! Don't get me wrong, I am very brand loyal to certain big name brands, but it makes me feel so invigorated to be able to say I liked a small brands products before they blow up and are used by everyone!

I am a self proclaimed cosmetics guru and as soon as LoLade Cosmetics came into our office I was the first to check out everything they sent and I picked out the items I have never seen on the market...yet. I also grabbed a few products that are classics, yet amazed me by the twist they seem to have making them feel like something brand new.

First let me start with the HD Translucent Loose PowderMakeup setting powder has been around forever and I have tried many variations and have found that translucent works and looks the best, it's more natural than having to choose a colored powder. Also, loose powder is much easier to apply and doesn't give you a caked / blotchy look that pressed power does. If you think about it you are basically pressing powder onto your face and your most oily areas will pick up and absorb the powder more than other parts of your face, leaving you looking spotty...ewwww. I also feel that way in general if you have to choose a colored power, just so much more to deal with and it doesn't look as natural and flawless as a translucent. Typically these powders are the consistence of a baby powder, so I was surprised to use the LoLade powder because it was so silky! It flowed out of the sifter with no shaking at all! I used to use a powder brush to apply, but expert celebrity makeup artists Maurice Stein changed my world when he explained to us how to apply loose power. He uses a puff, not any of the little thin ones the products usually come with but a thick 5" diameter powder puff. Shake the loose powder in the center of the puff and fold the puff in half and rub together to absorb the powder. Then reverse the fold to expose the powdered side and rock the puff back and forth over cheek areas, forehead and chin. Then just puff all the other areas of your face. If you have too much powder on your face, you can then take a large powder brush and blend. The LoLade powder sets my makeup flawlessly and naturally, it is my new secret weapon! It even last all day...no touch ups needed at all! I have an oily T-zone and it was never an issue with this powder...even after wearing for nearly 12 hours!

Another classic fave is lip gloss and when I grabbed LoLade's Lip Lacquer in "Cherry On Top" AKA bright red, I assumed it was like any other gloss I have that gives a sheer color with shine....was I wrong! This gloss is highly pigmented to give a brilliant, sexy red color on top on an irresistible shine! I love how it looks like a lip stick but it's not! It doesn't feel dry and it has great lasting power. It also is an all in one so you don't need to apply a lip stick and then gloss...it is truly glamorous and you will feel like a sexy temptress or an old Hollywood pinup girl with these cherry lips on :) I know red's can be hard to manage but I didn't feel like this wasn't my red and I have a feeling it is pretty universal for many skin tones and looks. Just keep in mind when you do bold lips, don't over do it but doing dramatic bold eye makeup looks! I like to keeps eyes simple with a nude colored eye shadow or simple just line your top lid for that 1920s style.

An Eye Primer's goal is to set the stage on your eye for your eye make-up to be applied.  Just like you would use a Primer or foundation for your face, it covers blemishes.  A lot of people have veins, imperfections, marks, freckles, broken capillaries, etc around their eye area.  The biggest culprit around the eye area tends to be dark circles under the eyes.

Eye primers which mostly consist of silicone and pigment can be your answer to erasing all of those concerns you have around your eyes and even filling in those fine lines and wrinkles. Now some eye primers can only be used on the lid and some are designed for under the eye.  I personally prefer when a primer can be used for both.

I was lucky enough to be given a Lolade Cosmetics Professional Eye and Lip primer.  This is an awesome primer.  I have to say, I am so super picky when it comes to eye primers.  This primer is soft to the touch and easy to gently pat around my eyes.  After application I was left with smooth skin.  My dark circles had vanished and my lid was ready for make-up.  My make-up applied flawlessly and stayed put all day!  Job well done primer!

To use an eye primer- Pat the product onto the skin around your eye with your ring finger!!!! Do not rub or pull around your eyes. Always test the product on another part of your body first to make sure you are not going to have a negative reaction, when trying any new product for the first time :)

Say goodbye to creases of powder in/on your lids :)
