Today I'm reviewing Hot Designs Nail Art Pens Basic Beauty. This kit has six colors: Flame Red, Kelly Green, Star White, Hot Pink, Royal blue, and Midnight Black. Each polish color has two dispensing tips, one end has the standard polish brush, and at the other end is a fine tip for detail. The kit has step by step instructions to help with designs, a list of suggestions on how to avoid problems, and pins that are used to unclog the fine tip if necessary.
Now that I have both kits (Basic Beauty and Glitz & Glam) I've got 12 colors to work with! More Colors = More Fun! Since you're only limited by your imagination I decided to expand mine and checked out YouTube and the web for ideas on designs and application techniques. Wow is all I have to say - I found a multitude of ideas. There was a lot to look at!!!
I started with a clear base coat and added the designs, being careful to let the polish dry between steps, then finished off with a clear top coat. (You can speed things up by using your hair dryer!)
If you've never used Hot Designs Nail Art Pens you'll need to read the instructions. In my case it took several attempts before I was able to make a design. I needed to get a feel of how hard/much to squeeze the bottle to get the desired amount of polish. I also needed to get a feel of the angle I wanted the fine tip at to allow me to make my design....
