High – Low Loladé Blush, Shimmer, and Shadow!
It is freezing here in Chicago but I have some products that can hopefully brighten your mood and add some warmth to your regular makeup routine! So for this week I have a few different products to look at, all from Loladé Cosmetics.
I'll start with the blush. In the past I've stayed away from blush thinking that if I used it, I would look too overdone. To avoid this, I think it really depends on how you use the product; play around with it, try it a few different ways, understand how it works with your skin and find a look that works just for you! This Loladé blush was a great introduction product for me. It does not have much shimmer so it looks very natural and blends in well with my skin. I could use a blush brush or my fingers to apply it and it goes on very smooth and easily. A little goes a long way with this color!
Looking for higher brand option for blush? NARS offers a variety of blush options with “the highest-intensity hues” at $28.
Just want to try a new look for less? Check out NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush ($6.00) or CoverGirl Cheekers Blush at $4.99
If you’re really looking for that added warmth, check out Loladé Shimmer Lotion. The shimmer lotion has warm pinkish and golden tones that I used to highlight beneath my eyebrows and on top my cheekbones to warm up my complexion during these cold winter days. I also think this shimmer lotion will work great in the summer to create an all over glowing complexion! Just like the blush, a little goes a long way with this product!
Other shimmer options:
Fresh High Noon Freshface Glow $36
Revlon Bare It All Lustrous Lotion $7.99
The third Loladé product that I tried is the Crème Eye Shadow. I was hesitant about crème eye shadow because when I have tried other brands in the past, crème shadow always creased, never dried properly, and just created this crème mess! But I was won over with this Loladé Crème Eye Shadow. It dries almost instantly and once it dried, it stayed flawless! There were no creases, it didn’t smudge, and it was long lasting! Another bonus, it’s waterproof. When it dried it was a totally different texture then the creamy smudge mess that I was expecting. I think it’s worth spending a little more if you really want quality crème eye shadow. So here are some more options!
Lancome Color Design Infinité $24.50
Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow $7.50
With all these options, I hope you can add some glow to your makeup routine this winter!
