If you have a holiday event that you are unsure how to dress for (casual or dressy) then it is always safe to go for the in-between! Jeans are famous for being a casual fashion statement, but if you wear dark blue, black or pretty much any color it instantly dresses it up a bit. For the top you can either wear something that is all out dressy, such as a silk button-up blouse or spice it up with a sparkly fun sweater. You can also wear a sparkle tank top or T-shirt and tone it down with a blazer, like Jessica is wearing above.

Highlight Item:

H&M: Jacket

Description: Loose-fitting jacket without buttons in fabric with a soft drape. Two front pockets.

Dress up Jean with makeup looks silver and gold sparkles

When wearing fashion basics, you may want to add some flare add sparkle this season! When doing bold eye makeup looks be sure you use an eye lid primer, such as the Smashbox Photo Finish pictured. We also suggest using an under-eye primer to hydrate your skin while reducing the look of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles! It also helps your concealer to last a long time!

If you don't have the patience for loose powder glitter makeup, the best products would be a liquid/ gel formula or a pressed powder that you can add water to if you want a darker pigment. The HARD CANDY and Urban Decay eyeshadows are easy to use for the dramatic glittering results you are seeking to accent your dressy jeans look. If your not as gutsy, glitter eyeliner, such as the Urban Decay Heavy Metal eyeliner, is perfect to add on your upper lid lining the lash-line. Another subtle way to sneak in some glittery glow would be to add a matte color shadow as a base and apply a light layer of glitter over it for a pop, the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadows are perfect for that look.

Keep it festive with gold, silver and bronze shades. Have fun with it!
