3 Days to Beautiful, Detoxed Skin Starts on the Inside!
I had never tried a detox before and I had the opportunity to try the East West Essentials 3 day Optimal Skin Detox. I read a little about it and thought it sounded pretty good. This detox is designed to eliminate toxins from the body, help reverse signs of premature aging, target saggy and aged skin and cellulite, and activate collagen keratin and elastin. This detox combines targeted supplements, detox shakes, phytonutrients and essential oils. This really works from the inside to give you the benefits outside of healthier and more youthful looking skin. There is a caution on the package as with anything If you have any major health concerns, check with your healthcare practitioner before use. Do not use if pregnant. Keep out of reach of children.
The thing I really liked about this detox was that it is extremely easy to follow. It comes in a box that includes 1 bottle of Optimal Cleanse Powder (5 servings), 1 bottle of Optimal Nutrition (5 servings), 1 bottle of Optimal Fatty Acid (30 capsules), and 1 bottle of Optimal Beauty (10 capsules), specific instructions, shopping list, meal plan. The book tells you when you what to take when and even gives you a meal guide. I really liked this because I didn’t have to try to come up with things that I could eat, it was all spelled out for me exactly what I needed. They also includes daily tips and things that you should avoid while doing your detox like alcohol, caffeine, dairy, soy, corn, wheat, sugar artificial sweetener or smoking on the program. So I had to prepare myself to behave for 3 days :)
They have the daily guide & instructions which gives you the mixing instructions for the shakes and the supplement instructions. To give you an idea the first day you will have breakfast , and take your 3 Optimal Fatty Acid Supplements and 1 Optimal Beauty Capsule. Then for a snack you have the optimal skin detox shake. Then you have lunch and your next snack is the Optimal nutrition shake, followed by dinner and 3 more optimal fatty acid supplements and 1 optimal beauty capsule. It is a pretty easy routine to follow which great meals in between the supplement sand shakes they provide.
The Optimal Skin Detox Shake you mix two scoops of the Optimal Skin Detox with 8-10 oz of water. You can mix it with a blender and use ice and you can add fruit, cinnamon, stevia and or organic vanilla for taste. I usually mixed mine with fruit typically a banana and blueberries. The Optimal Nutrition Shake you mix 5 teaspoons of the Optimal Nutrition in 8-10 oz of cold water and mix well. This was a nice shake. The thing I like about these shakes is that they want you to have them as snack in-between your meals. You don’t have to worry about skipping meals. You do want to have healthy meals but they give you ideas like Oatmeal & Turkey bacon for breakfast and Romaine Avocado Salad for dinner, and the recipes are included in the book. They even give you a shopping list to follow for the week which is nice because when I am trying to follow a good diet sometimes I have a hard time deciding what to make and these recipes are great.
At first I was a little worried that this detox would be hard to follow but it wasn’t bad at all. It does take dedication to follow the allowed foods and not to have the things you are not supposed to. But I believe it is really worth it. I felt healthier after just a few days I can only imagine the results with this if use for more then 3 days. I am thinking I will have to try a 30 day detox soon.
